Your Gift at Work

A little gratitude goes a long way.

Any gift, large or small, has the potential to make a big difference at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center.  Each gift, in some way, makes it possible for our physicians, researchers, nurses, and administrators—everyone at BIDMC—to provide the kind of care we each want for our own family members.

Here are some examples of how gifts of all sizes are making a difference:

A Grateful BIDMC Patient

Charlie Allman came to BIDMC to receive treatment for Parkinson’s disease when the string of medications he had been using to treat his symptoms was no longer effective. He credits Daniel Tarsy, M.D., and BIDMC’s Neurology department with not only giving him his life back, but providing him the chance to once again play his beloved organ.

Harpist Your Gift at work

Soothing Sounds

BIDMC thanks to an anonymous donation is able to offer the services of a harpist who plays throughout the Medical Center. The benefits of The Healing Music program are embraced not just by patients and family members but by staff members as well. The elegant music is a source of serenity and joy to all who have the opportunity to hear it.
