Bill’s story is representative of those of many of our patients and families. Our goal is to provide world-class medical care with respect for the individual.

Bill Quigley has been receiving regular treatment in our Pheresis Unit for almost five years and calls our nurses “the most wonderful people in the world.”
Bill began with weekly treatments in June 2007, for hematomacrosis, a chronic excess of iron in the blood. As he improved, his visits became less regular. Lately, he comes in every few months for his 45-minute appointment. When he’s not reading his Wall Street Journal, he’s often watching our staff care for his fellow pheresis patients. This is what he sees:
I have yet to find one nurse that is not with wonderful character, empathetic, and sympathetic. That’s what makes the experience so great. On more than one occasion, I’ve been to another medical provider where you’re treated as the next person at the counter. Not here. If my experience is indicative of the rest of the hospital, it’s truly a remarkable facility.
Bill will return to our infusion unit for years to come; we’ll always be happy to provide him with compassionate, personal care.
