What's this event about?

On September 13, 2009, I'm participating in a bicycle ride on the North Shore of Massachusetts to raise funds for cancer research at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center - the hospital where I got MY lifesaving treatment.

Why am I riding?

This is huge breakthrough for me, part of the amazing transformation that's happened since I started what I call "my free replay in the game of life." Please help!

100% of proceeds raised through this bike ride go directly to Dr. Wong's Brain Tumor Fund and Dr. Lewis Cantley's General Cancer Research Fund. I was invited to join by my orthopedist (bone surgeon), Dr. Megan Anderson, who'll be riding with me. How cool is that??

Why join my team or support us?

C'mon, do you really have to ask?

1. Cancer research is a good thing.

2. Beth Israel Deaconess is a great hospital.

3. My team is the orthopedics department at BIDMC. I'm riding WITH my surgeon. You can too!

4. I've always believed that if someone's willing to put in the effort to raise funds, I'll gladly pitch in with the flick of the wrist it takes to support them. (It's just weird for me to be the one doing the work this time - but what fun!)

Thanks. Tell friends.
